If you're like me, keeping up with your server based email (i.e. you@yourwebsite.com) can become a chore when you start checking it on more than one device (i.e. your computer and your smart phone). When I started utilizing my iPhone last June it was rad that I could check my email on my phone; however, deleting or replying to an email via my iPhone wouldn't translate to my Mac at the office. I just wanted my mailbox synced...no matter what device I decided to read/compose/send email from. What a headache...until I found Lan Logic.

With Lan Logic, your smart phone becomes a real email productivity device. Any emails I send from my smart phone show up in my "sent" folder on my phone and on my desktop/laptop. My Mail account on both devices are identical at all times. It's a beautiful thing and makes business work better. So naturally, I can respond to emails while waiting in line at Chipotle and not have to worry about my email account being out of sorts on different devices/computers...all for only $9.99/mo.

This also works like a charm for most smartphones, including the Crackberry Blackberry.

Millie <<< What a time saver, right??? Seriously, I was thinking there was a better way for everything to talk to each other! Good to hear you go set up :)

Hey Fred! Thanks for the advice on this. Deleting email at both spots was driving me nuts. I had an old exchange server set up for windows but they did not support Mac so I ditched that when I got the MacBook Pro last year. Now I have peace of mind and what costs me just $9.99 a month saved me lots of time and pulling my hair out over duplicate emails. Just set it up... golden!

Joel <<< You bet I use .Mac to sync my calendars and address book. I was coming from that angle for Windows users. The Back to Mac feature doens't work that well outside of your own wireless network. That program needs alot of work because many routers prevent it from working. I've never had it work for me outside my own wireless network :(

I was just telling my friend the other day that I was going to bring back the phrase "Clutch". Looks like Joel down there beat me to it!

do you not use .mac? If not that is really important for you to do so. Back to my mac which is access to any of you computers anywhere is very clutch. Not to mention many other great features all for 8.25 a month.

Joel <<< IMAP is a totally legit option if you are looking to just sync email. An exchange account actually allows you to sync calendars and contacts too.

Jeff <<< I checked out their site...they look like a good solution for some. But the reason I went with Lan Logic is because they support the iPhone :) Mail2Web doesn't :(

Just have your email account set up as IMAP instead of POP and no matter where you check your mail it stays synced. Gmail and Yahoo have IMAP capabilities also.

Hey Eagster, we use Mail2Web and it's a lot more feature-rich than Lan Logic. Our IT guy did a ton of research and this is the one to go with (http://services.mail2web.com/Business/Exchange/plans.asp)
