Austin City Limits is less than a month away and I'm pretty excited to be experiencing my first one...I know, I've lived in Texas all this time-what's wrong with me??? I have no excuse other than festivals haven't really been my scene...until now. Once I return with some photos, then the jury will be in on the experience. Until then, I threw this playlist together of the artists I'm looking forward to seeing in Austin, TX (exit RSS readers to view the iMix).

Additional survival tips for ACL Fest: buy a camelbak and throw it in a backpack. Bring a bandana -- wet, it'll keep your head (or neck) cool, or in a pinch, act as a dust mask.

you are going to LOVE it! My first one was in 2004 - first semester at UT. 3 days of non-stop, on-your-feet, badass music :) Just take a hat, shades, buy tons of water, bring a backpack to carry all of that water, and wear shorts and a tank - seriously, when you get closer to the stages, everyone is arm to arm, basically spooning. Everyone's friendly, though! You should try and see Mason Jennings - he's amazing live.

I watch Austin City Limits every Saturday night on the Public Broadcast Station...LOVE ITTT! Sufjan was on there a couple of years ago, and I PVR'd it. I swear I watched the whole hour about 26 times.
