New music Tuesdays will every so often feature an iMix (an mp3 mixtape) available via iTunes (or Amazon mp3). I find myself enjoying so many artists these days that this is the only way to keep you guys up to speed on new/new-to-me tunes. My iMixes will include 12 songs max in order to keep it listenable while still feeling like an actual mixtape. A 50 song playlist can be a bit daunting to listen to, much less make a connection with each singer/songwriter.
This week I've been enjoying some modern folk artists...some you may have heard before while others I hope are pleasant surprises. Either way, all of them are worth you checking out their albums*. Now, part of what makes this exciting for me is hearing what you guys are listening to. Leave a comment to let me know...Lara Parent actually mailed me a couple of mixed CDs that I'm bumpin' while drivin. Thank you Lara :)

Ah sweet! His newest album "Songs We Sing" is great too. That's totally awesome that you're going to see him, I'm going to try also since he's playing a bunch of shows here in FL. I've heard he's amazing live.

Great mix... I actually have a lot of the same stuff on my ipod right now. Have you heard of Matt Costa? He has a really cool light, airy sort of sound - it's pretty nice chill music. That's what I've been listening to anyways (;
