the short list: joe buissink

"Who would you have photograph your own wedding?" That's the question I'm answering this week and I've found it to be quite rewarding thinking about this decision with no pressure of a wedding date looming over my head. It's a short list of people I'd trust to capture my day...and they all evoke classic style, romance and joy.

Tears creeped down my cheek in that dimly lit ballroom in Las Vegas 16 months ago. That's when Joe Buissink made my Short List. Done. The words that escaped his lips were a man's passion. He loves wedding photography...he was made to do this. That is beautiful beyond human language.

Fred~ I know what you mean. I came across an article about him and his work when I was learning photography seven years ago. It was hugely influential on me as a photographer!

I'll second all these on your short list. Hell, you are even on my short list. But I have a feeling my short list is slightly longer than yours. It's a shame I only plan to marry once...how will I ever choose?!
