My December 2008 Free People catalogue arrived today and Tani, the lovely model I worked with on my PCH Girls shoot, was rockin' her nomadic bohemian self throughout well over half the spreads. The styling was excellent.
Left, Free People. Right, FRED EGAN.

stikman:
Very cool shots. We used to carry that line in our boutique, but not anymore....You exceeded photo expectations with these!

Imagine my knee-jerk reaction when I walked into a pink and green bedroom..."we are definitely shooting in here!" I don't shoot indoors that often so I do it whenever I get a chance. Olivia's graduating next May and has quite good taste in music...which never surprises me when a graduate hires me. It seems to be something we usually have in common. I finally had my make-up artist, Chelsey, make it out and she rocked Olivia's face off. Big props to Olivia's best friends for being on location also. They kept it fun and entertaining.

Seattle was good to me this past weekend. Good food, good time with some friends and a great shoot. I scripted this concept of two BFF's in the midst of their West coast senior road-trip. We drop in on them during the morning of their stay at a retro boutique hotel in Seattle. Michelle Moore helped produce this shoot, pulling together hair, make-up and models in a matter of days. We also shot some behind the scenes footage.

So what do you do when you're totally bummed about a burglary on your birthday? Hang out with Sammy and rock some photographs! Obviously she's a fun girl...had me rollin' throughout the shoot and we enjoyed a six pack of Dreyer's Lime Fruit Bars (OK, she enjoyed one and I enjoyed 5...and actually, I finished half of her one).

I got a little more ambitious on this graduate shoot and Sammy just rolled with the punches as I unveiled my fun ideas. I'll be launching a new portrait site in the future...any signature images in this story?

Michelle Moore:
This blog post needs some lovin' too. She is so adorable! Love the hula-hoop & yellow hoodie!

brenda
Brenda's a friend of mine...from college...the Texas A&M days back in '99ish. Yeah...wow, I just felt old. We also both worked at Pine Cove Christian Camps as counselors that summer.

I was a bit nostalgic when I walked into her living room only to find a photograph of her and roommates from over 2 years ago that had "Castleberry Photography" emblazoned in the lower right hand corner [I'm laughing out loud right now...please join me].
If I still had the image I'd post it right now so we cold all get a second round of laughs on me. But I shouldn't hate so much...after all, it was those photographs then that lead to these photographs now. So, we thought we'd give it a second go.

Ansley...what a rad girl! She rocked this shoot like she owned it. She just let it all out and hanging out on her parents' house boat while jammin' to The Pierces and Sara Barielles was all it took. Have to give a shout out to BFF Sammy for doing such a great job with reflectors and such...and putting Ansley in stitches in a moment's notice.

one light workshop
I fled Vegas in order to dive into Zach Arias' ONE Light Workshop in Houston with my good buddy Erik Clausen of Poser. To my pleasant surprise, my dear friend Lauren Clark greeted me with a warm, "Egan?"

Everyone was making these rad fierce photographs with the off camera lighting but you guys know I couldn't succumb to the serious stuff ;) So I made a couple with Lauren and her "WHO" face.

Before Christmas arrived, I headed up to Winterpark, CO with my clients Jeff and Caroline. Eight other friends were also in tow for some ridin' and a quick shoot with Caroline. The snow was great on the mountain and I definitely ripped it up. All week I was hoping it would snow lightly for the shoot...naturally the morning of, fluffy, large snowflakes lazily fell from the overcast sky.
